Keyboard Tuition with Graham Fairbairn
Welcome to the page for keyboard tuition in the Chorley area. Learning to play keyboard (and piano) is a fantastic way to start one's musical activities. A good keyboard teacher will help pupils turn what is often just a toy into a musical instrument. However: the pupil requires just as much skill and commitment as is required with other instruments.
Keyboard (and piano) lessons can also help with the wider school curriculum: broader aspects of development such as concentration and motor skills are developed through regular practice.
As a keyboard tutor, Graham will strive to make lessons fun and yet educational so that progress is being made week by week; however, please remember that regular practice is required. Progress without practice is almost unheard of, apart from the top 0.5% of all pupils; ie only the most fabulously gifted can afford not to practice in the early stages.
There are many models available at very reasonable prices: yamaha, roland, casio, to name the best known manufacturers. A good keyboard teacher will give assistance in choosing an appropriate model. Ebay often has some great bargains if you are looking at the right time. A number of my YouTube videos focus on aspects of the Yamaha PSR e373; this is the keyboard I personally use for online teaching. One such video is found at: https://youtu.be/zwDKHxLuQsU
